Archie Bell – American R&B vocal group from Houston, Texas, and one of the main acts on Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff’s Philadelphia International Records.

Don Blackman – American jazz-funk pianist, singer, and songwriter. He performed with Parliament-Funkadelic, Earth, Wind and Fire, Louis Hayes, and Nicolas Dietz.

Terry Callier – American soul, folk and jazz guitarist and singer-songwriter.

General Johnson – American rhythm and blues songwriter and record producer.

Art Pepper – American alto saxophonist and very occasional tenor saxophonist and clarinetist. Active in West Coast jazz, Pepper came to prominence in Stan Kenton’s big band.
